Do you know how to visualize?
It’s one of the best stress relief activities, but chances are, this skill was drummed out of you early in your scholastic career. As in, “Pay attention, stop that daydreaming!” or, later in life, “You’re not going to get anywhere just thinking about it, DO something, don’t be such a dreamer!”
Well, now science has caught up with us daydreamers. Quantum Physics now shows without a shadow of a doubt that thoughts are incredibly powerful. Thoughts are things. Form follows thought. And whether you want a peanut-butter sandwich or an empire, it all begins with the creation of an idea – a concept.
This is why it’s so important not to use your powerful imagination worrying about what might happen, which is actually creating things that will cause you trouble. Instead, try to think of things that could go RIGHT. Visualize!
Try it now – start with something simple. Let’s stick with the peanut-butter analogy. Let’s say you’ve just made the perfect peanut butter sandwich. Fresh bread, freshly ground roasted peanuts, homemade jam – perfection! And you’ve just finished working out, and you’re HUNGRY!
Now, just as you’re carrying it to the table to enjoy, the cat runs under your feet causing you to drop this beautiful creation, and it lands open-face on the floor. And, you broke your beautiful plate.
How do you feel? Annoyed? Angry even – it was an expensive plate – now you have to wash the floor – and still hungry, but not in the mood to enjoy food anymore.
Let’s go back to same scenario with the sandwich, but in this version, your favorite song comes on the radio just as you sit to eat. The cat is happily purring on the couch in the sun, and looks so content you decide to join her. And the sandwich! Never have you tasted one so delicious! Each bite a perfect blend of flavors!
And how does that feel? Notice the difference? That’s the power of your imagination! Ok, now let’s assume you want to create a life you love, not just a sandwich!
To create a vision for your life, start by sitting writing what you want in the following areas:
Health, Finances, Career, Relationships, Self Expression, Personal Development, Spirituality
Just a paragraph or two on each subject is fine. Now, combine them to create an overall life view. You’re going to have to read this a few times a day, while at the same time conjuring up the feeling that this really is your life NOW.
I’d be the first one to admit this isn’t always easy. So I have a tip for you. Ready?
Record yourself reading this life view. Say it with feeling and conviction. Then you only have to lie down and get comfortable and listen to it once or twice a day, whether you’re ‘in the mood’ or not. Consistency is key, if you wait around for an inspired feeling before you visualize, chances are you won’t do it very often, and the things you want will be very slow in coming, if they come at all.

This post resonates with me. I have been doing visualizations since the late 1970’s and I can testify to your readers that it REALLY WORKS! It is wonderful how you explained it so simply. People can benefit with this because not only is it relaxing, but it is the first step of that “law of attraction” that can enhance your life.
I am a fan of Quantum Physics because I’m a born psychic and needed to study that to feel “normal.”
I’m certain that all who read and apply this concept will achieve higher growth and wellness.

Alexandria – as a child and into early adulthood I had a “photographic mind”(which caused me some problems in school – was accused of cheating) – I’m having limited success in visualizing words – (used to see them “on my forehead” with my 3rd eye )
do you recommend any specific mantras/exercises to re-develop this capability ?

Hi Bob! First of all, sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve been away on holidays.
You pose a very interesting question! And I can certainly see why you’d want to re-develop this gift! But I think you have to take a closer look at why it isn’t available to you now. Assuming you haven’t had some sort of brain injury that may have interfered, I suspect the accusations of cheating made you feel unsafe with this ability. If this feels right to you, I think you’d then have to look at ways of feeling safe in your uniqueness once again.
Drawing on my background as a Reiki Master, if it were me I’d be looking into energy healing. You may want to look into receiving some Reiki treatments, or other form of energy work. If you’re a DIY kind of guy, you might want to begin doing chakra exercises to be sure they’re all clear, free of blockages and that your energy is flowing freely. In this case, I’d recommend looking at each chakra individually and systematically, beginning at the Root Chakra and working your way up. I would definitely not jump right to the 3rd eye. If you’ve shut this ability down due to not feeling safe, you could create more problems by forcing it. I’d be looking at my body as a whole (including energy work to address Chakra and Aura needs), then allow it to show itself to you again naturally.
Affirmations such as, “I am fully supported by the Universe and embrace my Eidetic Memory abilities for the good of all.” May help you accept it once again.
