On Nov. 11, 11 am, Canada takes a pause from technology and the busyness of life to remember those who shed blood in service to our country. If you are unable to attend a public service, or wish to honor them privately, I offer this Remembrance Day meditation. Memorial Meditation Start by turning off all distractions so you can direct your attention within. We will use a variation of the Heart Math institute’s Heart Breath for this meditation:
Find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. Take a few deep breaths, breathing in for a count of 3 and out for 5 to center yourself
Once you’ve made this connection, direct your breathing to your heart center as if you could literally breathe through your heart. Begin to breathe Love in and out with every breath
Do this for several breaths, then focus on feeling GRATITUDE. Spend 2 minutes (or longer) sending your energy, love and gratitude out through your heart with each breath
Imagine the fallen receiving all this GRATITUDE
When you’ve completed your memorial meditation, gently bring yourself back into the room you’re in, and strive to maintain this feeling of gratitude throughout the rest of the day, truly appreciating all the freedom and privileges we enjoy today because of the courage and selflessness of those brave souls. Namaste
Here’s one of the best stress relief activities – think about what you’re thinking about! The other day I received a painfully clear message from the Universe about how important it is to be aware of the thoughts I’m thinking — or should I say bee aware! (more…)
Counting your blessings can be the best of all stress relief activities! Even when things aren’t going exactly as you’d prefer, you want to stay positive, to attract positive things. So, what wonders have you created in your life today? As deliberate creators, we’re taught to keep our eyes on the prize. But that can often lead to frustration when things are taking ‘too long’ (in our opinion!) or not manifesting in quite the way it ‘should’ (again, according to us!). We tend to forget all the wonderful things we’ve already drawn in to our lives. I was recently reminded of this with a passage from The Secret Daily Teachings, which reads as follows: “Think of all the good things in your life. And now realize that you brought them all into your life. Your thoughts and feelings moved the energies of the Universe to bring all those good things to you. You are a powerful being.” (more…)
If you’re always striving to achieve other goals and plans, you’re going to love this post! It’s all about letting go, because the Law of Attraction works best when we’re happy, relaxed and peaceful! It makes perfect sense when you think about how the Law of Attraction works; we create our lives through our thoughts, always attracting more of what we’re focused on. So if you’re locked into a pattern of always striving to be-do-have more, you’re setting yourself up to experience more of that feeling – a feeling of lack. (more…)
