You want to be happy. I want to be happy. We all want happiness, even when it’s hiding behind the guise of ‘hot new body’ or ‘awesome new partner’ or ‘million dollar home’. Happiness is the hidden reason why we really want the things we want. Quite simply, we want them because we want the way we think we’ll feel when we get them. But guess what – if we haven’t been practicing a happy vibe along the way, even when we achieve the thing that feels so elusive now, there will be a hollow place where that happiness would reside if we had practiced.
Abraham-Hicks says, “there are no happy endings to unhappy journeys.” This means if work is a grind, something you only do to get enough money for a vacation, that vacation will not be a fun time. The weather will suck, or you’ll forget and drink the water and spend the holiday sick in your room. The diet you hate may result in weight loss, but it will return. Or you will succeed in attracting that new mate, then wish you hadn’t.
How to avoid this trap? Make happy your go-to mind set. How to do that? Practice. We get happy by practicing happiness. And it really is so simple. Because you don’t actually need any of the things you think are preventing your happiness. Allow me to demonstrate. Just for fun, set a timer for 4 minutes and pretend you just got the best news of your life! Dance, whoop it up, hug yourself, fist bump the air. Act as crazily happy as if all of your dreams had just come true. Thanks, Mike Dooley, for teaching me this! I do this daily!
All done? And don’t you feel good! I use this process first thing in the morning. That doesn’t mean I bounce out of bed each day with a smile on my lips (though most days I do) sometimes I’m groggy, want to stay in bed, or just don’t feel like mustering up enthusiasm. But I do it anyway and the feeling catches up with me quickly. Practice makes perfect. And, what we focus attention on expands. By practicing happiness I am creating more in my life, through the Law of Attraction. This practice makes an awesome start to your day, and you can keep building on it by noticing all you have to be grateful for.
If you aren’t being grateful for all the good in your life, you may fall into the habit of complaining, which is a sure joy-sucker. Suspect this might be you? Then try a simple challenge. Intend to notice every time you complain, and make a check mark on a piece of paper. And just notice at the end of the day how many checks you have.
This can be a real eye-opener, but the beauty of it is, when you become aware you can start to change these thoughts. Then you can start flipping them to thoughts of gratitude. Gratitude is a game-changer, which will usher in more happiness than you know what to do with – and those other good things you want too. Happy New Year! Are you ready for the best year of your life? Lets team up to make 2021 absolutely unforgettable! The best way to say hello to a bright shiny new year is to kiss the last one good bye. And the best way to do that is with a gratitude list. Just list out 12 or so reasons you loved 2020. Yes that can be a bit of a stretch, what with the pandemic and all. I think it’s safe to say that all of us experienced some ups and downs, some heart-breaking moments. But I’m sure there were others when we felt we would burst with gratitude for a perfect sunrise or a special moment with a special someone. Today, lets let go of the pain and focus on the good. That’s the best way I know to start the new year with a fresh slate. Once you’ve compiled your list, make a new one of FUTURE gratitudes for what you hope 2021 will bring! Then savor each one, blessing it for the joy it will bring you! This ‘pre-paving’ will place your order with the universe for the coming year. Have you ever been caught up in a whirlpool? Everything spins so madly you don’t know which end is up, and fighting against it leads only to exhaustion. A worry whirlpool is much the same. Something is causing incessant worry, making your head spin. The resulting negative thoughts cause stress and anxiety, and fighting it only draws you in deeper. Not only that, but because thoughts become things, your worrisome thoughts are vibrating out and matching up with other equally undesirable thoughts, conversations and situations, until it seems your whole life is turned on its head. If you can’t fight your way out, how do you escape this downward spiral? The obvious solution is to stop thinking those thoughts, but this is much easier said than done because the Law of Attraction is keeping them coming. It’s much easier to distract yourself by taking a nap, watching a movie or visiting a friend. This will give you the mental space necessary to begin thinking different thoughts. You won’t shift directly from worry to happiness, but you can bridge your worrisome thoughts by repeating phrases such as, ‘things always work out for me’ or ‘I don’t have to think about that right now’ to break the cycle. Think of a well-worn path in a field. It’s easy to keep going down that path because the weeds have been trampled down. You don’t have to think about where you’re putting your feet, it’s become automatic. When you make the decision to take a new path it’s difficult initially, but gets easier each time you use it, while the old path grows over and is forgotten. It’s the same with your thoughts. Each time you choose the new ‘path’ it becomes easier and strengthens your resolve. You are creating new patterns of thought that serve you while simultaneously releasing the negative ones that don’t. You can take things further with the ‘tell a new story’ process. As the worrisome situation shows what you don’t want, what you do want becomes clear. I recommend sitting with pen and paper and imagining it unfolding exactly as you’d like. You don’t have to know how it can be resolved, or even the precise results you want. Just write how happy everyone is with the miraculous solution, holding the feeling in your heart while picturing their happy faces. If worrying about a loved one, remember we are eternal beings who chose certain challenges each lifetime for the learning it will provide. What we think is a bad thing may be just the experience needed for their spiritual growth, leading to much happier circumstances for them. If that doesn’t bring relief, consider that worrying gives more energy, thus power, to unwanted things. It is essentially praying for what you don’t want, and robs you of the ability to help. Your best defense against worry whirlpools is to shine your light as bright as you can. This will uplift those you were worried about, and anyone else lucky enough to be around you. Try these tips and soon you will shake the worry habit forever!

This is one of my favorite go-to methods of relieving stress, and easing pain. It works for everything! It’s important to gage the level of discomfort first. If it’s a 10 out of 10 you can repeat the tapping, until it comes down to a 1 or even 0! I love EFT because you can do it anywhere – if you can’t actually tap, simply imagine the sensation of tapping and you will still get good results!

Since I’ve begun offering Soul Realignmentin the Akashic Records I find myself recounting my own personal soul healing success so often, I decided to dedicate a blog post to what it did for me.
