The Law of Attraction Works
The Law of Attraction Works based on these words : Ask, Believe, Receive.
Just 3 little words, but If you let them, they can change your life!
Abraham tells us we don’t have to do anything about the first one. We’re Asking all the time. Through our words, thoughts, actions, our vibration sends clear messages out to the Universe.
We also don’t have to do anything to Receive, the Universe happily brings
our desires to us, often through strange and wonderful ways we couldn’t even conceive of.
What we DO have to do, is Believe. And that can be pretty tricky sometimes, especially if you’re new to the Law of Attraction, or if what you want feels really big to you.
Belief is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets. But when you’re still cultivating that deep faith, it’s easier to start with little things you aren’t particularly attached to.
To get to the ‘belief’ part of the ask, believe, receive formula, try this little experiment Abraham-Hicks recommended in ‘The Secret to the Secret’.
Choose three things, focus lightly on them for about 10 minutes. Then, as Abraham says, “watch and see how the Universe knocks itself out to bring it to you.” They gave the examples of feathers, butterflies and blue glass.
I decided to do this little exercise again a few months ago, using the same examples Abraham did, but substituting birds for butterflies due to the time of year.
So I closed my eyes and thought of birds — how much I enjoy watching them, how amazing it must be to fly, how pretty they are.
I thought of feathers, how neat it would be to attract a particular one that could be a Law of Attraction symbol for me. I decided I wanted a Blue Jay feather.
Then I thought about blue glass, how versatile it is, how much I love the color blue, how many different shades of blue there are — you get the picture.
I focused gently for 10 min., then went about my day. This is how the Ask, Believe, Receive experiment went for me . . .
The very next day I was standing in the yard with my husband watching the birds at our feeder. We enjoyed them from a distance of about 30 feet, because the Blue Jays tend to be skittish.
Suddenly I felt the strangest sensation of a whirling vibration just above my head, followed by a gentle pressure — a Chickadee had landed on my head! This has never happened to me before! I was thrilled and elated.
My sweetie wondered aloud why it chose me, when he stands over a foot taller than I do and it had to fly above him to reach me, but I knew it had nothing to do with logistics, and everything with how the Law of Attraction works! So I told him of my little experiment. Clearly, the Universe wanted to really get my attention with this!
One down, two to go!
The following day I was in the yard kicking through all the leaves now covering my lawn, wondering how I’d even notice a feather through all of them. Almost as I had the thought, my gaze fell on a beautiful feather standing straight up just under the feeder, waiting for me!
As I scooped up my prize, little did I know the 3rd manifestation was already waiting for me.
I went back into the house to find a message waiting on the answering machine — my daughter asking me to come to her mother-in-law’s to baby sit her little guy.
Turns out her mother-in-law has an extensive collection of — you guessed it! Blue glass everywhere!
There were blue glass canisters, blue stained glass hanging from almost every window, and a large blue glass bowl filled with little multicolored blue glass discs, which little Kash made a bee-line for, and quickly dumped!
I had to smile at how the Law of Attraction works as I picked up what had to be 100 blue glass bits all over the living room, under couches and chairs, everywhere. Again, clearly the Universe wanted to get my attention with this — as if to say, ‘do you get your power yet? Need any more proof?’
And so I offer this little Ask, Believe, Receive experiment for you to try, and I’d love it if you share your results about how the Law of Attraction works for you. No doubt your story will inspire others as well!
