The Law of Attraction Works
The Law of Attraction works in mysterious ways.
Recently I was on Face-Book, reading about my daughter’s house-hunting efforts. She had just made an appointment to see a house they were quite excited about.
Being a Law of Attraction teacher, I posted “Yay, looking forward to the exciting news that’s sure to come!” Then I went about my business for the day.
She phoned me an hour later to say her Dad, my ex, thought perhaps my enthusiasm would be a bit much for her aunt, my former sister-in-law.
I was confused.
Turns out the Universe decreed the comment meant for my daughter would end up going to her aunt, appearing to be in response to her update about her teenage son, who was in the hospital battling cancer.
Which would be fine in itself, we’re on good terms, and I’ve been sending Reiki distant healing at the family’s request. But her comment was that he wasn’t doing too well, asking everyone to continue praying for him.
In this context, considering this family is not into the Law of Attraction, my enthusiastic “Yay, looking forward to the exciting news that’s sure to come!” could seem a tad insensitive. I quickly deleted it, writing I’d continue sending Reiki and picturing him in perfect health.
But I know the Law of Attraction works, and my super positive comment was exactly the sentiment I should be sending!
Abraham (http://www.Abraham-Hicks.com) says our natural state is perfect health, every cell in our body knows exactly how to heal, and positive thinking creates the perfect environment for healing. No matter what health challenge we face, we must do our best to imagine ourselves healthy.
As Bob Proctor says in The Secret ,”If you have a disease, and you’re focusing on it, and you’re talking to people about it, you’re going to create more diseased cells. See yourself living in a perfectly healthy body. Let the doctor take care of the disease.”
Good advice! I have no idea how my message ended up on my former sister-in-law’s comment. Maybe my computer’s sensitive touch pad had something to do with it, or maybe Life just wanted her to receive that message. I don’t know if she saw it before I deleted it, or how she would have responded if she had.
But one thing I do know . . . when I think of that young man and his current struggle, I won’t be picturing him in a hospital bed. I’ll see him enjoying the sports he loves, and thinking, “Yay! Looking forward to the exciting news of your healing that’s sure to come!” Knowing that, the way the Law of Attraction works, I’m sending powerful energy to help that come about.
