Best Stress Relief Activities

Affirmations are the best stress relief activities!

Affirmations are very powerful tools for bringing about the kind of life you want. They also are best stress relief activities. However, they have an evil twin – what I call the dark side of affirmations.
Basically, affirmations are thoughts you choose to think because you want the results they’ll produce. Created correctly, using positive, powerful words in the present tense repeated often, they produce the effects you want by convincing your subconscious mind the conditions they describe are in fact real.
For example, let’s say you’re stressed about money. You need financial stress relief activities. You know everything begins as a thought, you want to create more wealth in your life, so a positive affirmation would be, “Money now flows to me freely from all directions,” or “I am now rich beyond my wildest dreams,” or “I am wealth. I am abundance. I am prosperity.”

A Deliberate Creation Success Tail

A Deliberate Creation Success Tail

imagesDeliberate Creators know that we get what we think about. We know that through conscious thinking we have the ability to shift ‘reality’ so it reflects what we truly desire. This is no longer ‘woo-woo’ as Quantum Physics totally supports it. However, as most of us have spent the better part of our lives believing the opposite, the challenge is in REMEMBERING that and ignoring ‘what is’ while we create what we want.
Sometimes life is so in-your-face it’s easy to forget how powerful we are, and feel at the mercy of unseen forces. I had one of those days this weekend. First I fell into a familiar trap, then when a family member suggested I ‘practice what I preach’ I deliberately shifted my vibe, did some serious pre-paving, and averted disaster in the process.

My two seven year old cats (sisters) reside indoors due to all the inherent dangers where I live (lots of wildlife). One slipped out after dark while my hubby was BBQ-ing. I thought it odd that she didn’t come sleep with me like she always does, (she generally stays with me all night and is my morning happy thought) but I just assumed she’d gotten cozy somewhere else and would come jump on the bed later.
In the morning when she wasn’t sleeping at my side I searched the house and grounds and walked up and down the road calling her. When she was not to be found I pretty much gave her up as dead, due to past experiences I’ve had with pets. In the past, my outdoor cats haven’t lasted long around here.
I was so upset I actually began the grieving process. I cried, I pictured my life without her, I wallowed. Then I remembered a recent blog post by Master Law of Attraction coach Jeannette Maw, about a similar experience she had regarding her cat. I realized that through my negative thinking I was actively manifesting dead kitty. Not what I wanted! I wanted my healthy happy furry friend back home with me.
So I shifted gears, and started thinking what an adventure she must be having. She made a deliberate choice to leave the safety of the house, so I saw her enjoying the feeling of grass under her feet, chasing butterflies, enjoying all the freedom I wish they could always have.
I remembered how Bashar talks about every possible outcome for every situation exists and how we need only tune ourselves into our preferred version. I decided that we live in the reality where she had her adventure and returned home to me safe and happy to me.
My hubby felt horrible and responsible for her being missing, so he was happy to join in my “pretending” all was well and that she’d be home soon, even as we walked the property calling her. I reached out to my adult kids and asked them to hold the vision of the best possible outcome. Then we let it go, and went on with our day.
I went to bed early without her, feeling sad but accepting and trying to make peace with her choice. I must admit the tears threatened, but instead I focused on how soft and beautiful she is, the extraordinary shade of green her eyes were, what a great happy thought she was each morning. I kept picturing my husband bringing her to me. And about an hour later, that’s exactly how it played out! Out having a smoke he spotted her glowing eyes, scooped her up and walked in with her, safe and sound.
The funny thing was, throughout the day I had fleeting images of a little fluffy black kitten. The next morning, when I let my kids know Kasha was home safe, my daughter (who originally gifted me with the sisters as kittens) sent me a video of a kitten she had already sourced out for me, a little black fluffy male!
He’s too young to leave his mama but will be ready to go in two weeks, when I’ll be receiving him as a surprise early birthday gift! I’ve already been to meet him and fell in love. In fact I wonder if Kasha went for a walk-about to bring about his joining our family!
I thought it would be fun to run a contest to name this kitty, to play along just leave your suggestion in the comment section below, if your name is selected you’ll receive a complimentary 30 minute coaching session with me!
ps He isn’t actually the kitty in the pic, but looks just like him!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Don’t you just love this season? Holiday happiness lingering, strangers wishing each other a Happy New Year, friends and lovers affirming to each other that this year will be better than the last. Everything feels crisp and new – a fresh new year ahead of you, like a freshly washed chalk board, waiting for you to write your story your way and create the best year of your life.
No I haven’t forgotten the snowstorms, gray days, icy roads . . . truth be told, sometimes I think I’d rather hibernate till spring! But there are a few things I rely on to help me weather winter, so I thought I’d share them with you.
Take advantage of the freshness of this time of year – create a vision for your future to live into! Make this the year you create a vision board filled with examples of what you choose to experience in the coming year. Write out your version of your perfect year, and read it often to stay on track.
Staying active is a must! It’s your best antidote to that sluggish feeling, and balances out those extra calories. Sign up for a new class that excites you, so you won’t mind braving the elements to get there. Why not try a new yoga class, or something more active like pilates or belly dancing. You can sample them right here on this blog!
We don’t get as much sun as we’re used to, so it’s a good idea to deliberately get out in it as much as you can. A brisk walk will rejuvenate you, or you can take a tip from cats; bask in sun streaming through a window and breathe in the light.
Even if you haven’t seen the sun in days, be assured its still there, and try not to let the weather dictate your mood. Maybe invest in a light box to give you a boost.
If you haven’t already, winter is a great time to establish a meditation practice. It just seems to come naturally this time of year. Like flower bulbs planted in the fall, we too need time to be still and allow our seeds of thought to take root and grow strong before sprouting to the surface.
The stillness of winter encourages being more mindful of our thoughts. Remember, good thoughts make good things grow! What you put out there will echo back to you, guaranteed! Are your thoughts helping or hindering you?
I wanted to offer you some words of wisdom I live by, adapted from The Five Spiritual Principals of Reiki.
The original reads:
Just for Today:
I will not worry
I will not be angry
I will do my work honestly
I will give thanks for my many blessings
I will be kind to my neighbors and all living things

Here’s my version:

Today, I’ll be happy, joyful and free

Today I’ll live in the moment

Today I’ll count my many blessings with gratitude

Today I’ll earn my living honestly and with Divine purpose

Today I’ll be kind to all living things.

Today I’ll judge no one and no thing

Today I’ll trust in the wisdom of the Universe

Today I’ll strive to see the divine spark in everyone.

Thanks for reading, thanks for sharing, and go make this YOUR year!

Making Meditation Easy

Did you set an intention or make a resolution to meditate more in 2021? Meditation will go a long way toward creating the kind of peaceful calm mind that in turn leads to a peaceful life. It also helps you become more deliberate in your thinking, which is essential in being a successful deliberate creator.
I have created a series of free meditatations for you here
I also wanted to share some of my currant favorites;  this one I especially love. It takes you through a process called Intentional Resting which really takes you to a deep level.
Another favorite is the 6 Phase Meditation. I often do these back to back. I like this one because it addresses several things in one sitting, such as visualization. Visualization is such an important component of the Law of Attraction, and this guided meditation makes it easy. I also like that it encourages gratitude, as well as addressing negative issues you may have going on with an individual.
And of course I always enjoy an Abraham Hicks guided meditation, so soothing!
I also wanted to share an article about Karma I recently wrote for Healthy Living Now Magazine. You can read that article here.
That’s it for now! I hope you enjoy this collection of goodies! Feel free to share!

Speak It Into Being

th

One of the best ways to attract something into your life is to speak it into being. This is another aspect of the scripting process I wrote a post about last week. Only in this version, you aren’t writing it the way you want it to be – you’re sharing the juicy details of your awesome new life with a trusted friend (who’s in on it, and is willing to suspend disbelief and play along whole-heartedly) or aloud, alone.
This is VERY fun and VERY effective! The sky is the limit – the only ground rules are that you Must stay in character for the duration of the session. And you Must remain limitless. No holds barred. Because, as we know, we are limitless beings, and the Universe has the ability to create whatever we say we want.
I love scripting because it gives the opportunity to share and expand on our big dream, live it fully in the moment, while actually giving it more energy and therefore more power, causing it to come more quickly. Uplifting for both (or all) parties involved. I like to keep this to family and close friends, and have also had great results when doing this exercise with a complete stranger on a trusted LOA website.
One example is when I had submitted an application for a contest run by The Toronto Star a few years ago for people over 50 who have a dream. Each contestant submitted an email, and winners were chosen from that.
I sent a video message along with my email, telling them it was my dream to make countless thousands of other people’s dreams come true, through teaching how the Law of Attraction works. I sent it off, then basically forgot about it.
One day, on a day I normally wouldn’t have been home at my computer, I saw a mysterious message. It was from a life coach working with the Star, but there was nothing in the subject line to indicate that, and as I didn’t recognize the name I assumed it was spam. In fact I was about to delete the message when a strong inner voice said “open it”. I sat and looked at the email. The message got more insistent. “Open it!” So I did.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered I’d made the short list for the contest. The life coach wrote that she wanted to interview me, and that it had to be that day. Thankful that I was home and able to comply I quickly phoned her.
There were still a few hoops to jump through, but I learned I had beat out nearly 1,000 others who wanted my spot, and it was between about 5 of us. The coach said I’d hear by Friday (this was Tuesday). I phoned my daughter, a stay-at-home Mom, and told her what had happened and asked her to script with me.
We spent the next hour chatting as if I’d won, talking about the impact it would make on my career, totally pumping myself up. After our conversation I did some written scripting as well, holding myself in the ‘acting as if’ zone, brimming with excitement.
I thought I had a few more days to ‘pre-pave’ winning a spot in the competition, but the next day received an email proclaiming “Congratulations, You’re a Winner!” And the experience was every bit as cool and fun as the scripting had been!
So now you have the gist of how this works – find someone to play with or just speak your dreams to life privately. Let me know how this works for you!!
