Best Stress Relief Activities

One of the best stress relief activities is EFT. What is EFT?  Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as Meridian Tapping or simply Tapping, is a very effective way to release blocks that may be preventing you from manifesting your goals.

This amazing process is based on the principals of acupuncture, but without the needles! You simply tap on specific points on your body while repeating phrases about what’s bothering you. This is often followed by continuing to tap the points while stating affirmations.

EFT tapping is fast, gentle, easy to learn, and often works when other things don’t. I’ve found it to be very effective, particularly for emotional issues and mood swings associated with PMS. I really feel it’s one of the best stress relief activities you can do. You can also use it to lose weight naturally, an upcoming blog will show you how!

I’m not a professional EFT tapping practitioner, but I’m so sold I had to share! So here’s the Reader’s Digest version.

Begin by taking an Intensity Rating to see where you’re really at with the particular issue you’re working on. Use a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being ‘no problem’ and 10 being ‘very upsetting’, or 0 being ‘no pain’ and 10 being ‘very painful’.

Now create your EFT tapping ‘set -up statement’, such as “Even though I’m worried about my dental appointment, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

Repeat this three times while EFT tapping the Karate Chop Point. Next, use a ‘reminder phrase’ , such as “fear of dentists” to hold your focus while you tap the series of EFT tapping points.

Here’s a quick overview of EFT tapping points.
The basic tapping points vary a bit from practitioner to practitioner, but are essentially as follows. You should quickly tap each point about seven times.

Karate Chop Point

Located midway between the little finger’s bottom knuckle and the wrist bone of either hand.

Eyebrow Point

Located at the inner corner of either eyebrow, by the bridge of your nose.

Outer-eye Point

Located at the outer corner of either eye.

Under-eye Point

Located at the middle of the bone beneath either eye.

Under Nose Point

Located just under the nose, above the upper lip

Under Mouth Point

Located directly below lower lip

Collarbone Point

Located at the notch just beneath your throat. Lightly thump this point with your fist

Liver Point

Located just under the breast

Under Arm Point

Located about four inches under either armpit

Top of the Head Point located at the crown of the head. Tap with thumb and all fingers

EFT is one of the best stress relief activities because it can change how you feel emotionally, reduce pain, and help you release limiting beliefs, old hurts and traumas in a matter of minutes. Go ahead, give it a try!

Important note: Though EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it is still considered to be in the experimental stage. Practitioners and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it and their own physical and emotional well-being. Alexandria Barker is not a licensed EFT professional. Please consult qualified health practitioners regarding your use of EFT.

So this was educational. I like the way you did the video and then liste a summary of all the points in the video. This is a wonderful presentation!

Great Job Alexandria! I’ve heard about Tapping before but never saw anybody do it. It seems like a really easy technique to implement. I’ll try it =)

Thanks Gemeem! I’m so happy you’re going to give it a go! It really is an amazing technique for shifting your energy – great for physical and/or emotional distress. And the great thing is, once you become very familiar with the sensation of tapping on the various points, you can go though them mentally. I love it.
